The arrangement, in one paragraph

Most links from this site to a casino operator are affiliate links. They carry a tracking parameter that identifies Table Watch Post as the source of the visit. If you follow one and go on to open an account, the operator may pay this site a commission under a partner agreement. You are never charged for it, the terms you receive are the operator's standard terms, and nothing about your account differs from arriving at the same site through a search engine.

Affiliate links are labelled. Every buttonised link to an operator carries an Ad marker with the 18+ and terms notice attached, and the shortlist on the home page states the arrangement immediately above the first card rather than in a footnote.

What commercial partnership does not buy

An operator can pay to be an affiliate partner. It cannot pay for a position on the shortlist, a verdict word, a badge, a sentence of the review, or the removal of a criticism. There is no rate card for coverage and no arrangement under which an operator sees a review before publication.

Commission rates also vary between operators, which is precisely why the running order is not built around them. If it were, the sites with the mildest verdicts on the shortlist would not be sitting where they are.

Why an affiliate site can still be useful

The honest answer is that the model creates an incentive, and the only sensible response is to state it and then constrain it. Three constraints do the work here: only operators licensed by the Gambling Commission are listed, the same eight criteria are applied to every one of them in the same order, and no claim goes on the page unless a reader could check it themselves.

The about page sets out the review process in more detail, and the home page shows the criteria before it shows the operators — deliberately in that order.

A page with a button, an arrow curving across to a shopfront, and a coin-shaped disc beneath the arrow
A tracked click, an account opened at the operator, a commission paid afterwards. Nothing is added to what the reader pays.

Advertising standards and how offers are described

Gambling advertising in the UK is governed by the CAP Code and enforced by the Advertising Standards Authority, alongside the Gambling Commission's own rules on fair and open marketing. This site works to those standards even where a page is editorial rather than promotional.

In practice that means welcome offers appear as factual data points — the type of offer, and the fact that wagering conditions apply — with no superlatives and no urgency attached. No figure is published unless the operator publishes it. Nothing on this site describes gambling as risk-free, guaranteed, or a way to make money, because none of those things is true.

Tracking links on this site

Operator links carry a query string used by the operator's affiliate platform to attribute the visit. They point directly at the operator's own domain: no redirect chains through unrelated sites, no cloaked destinations, and no link that claims to go somewhere other than where it goes. Every one is marked with rel="sponsored nofollow" so that search engines treat it as advertising, which is what it is.

The cookie policy explains what is stored on your device when a link is followed, and the privacy policy covers what this site does and does not know about you afterwards.

Questions about the arrangement

Operators, agencies and readers are all welcome to ask about it. Commercial enquiries go to partners@tablewatchpost.com, and anything editorial — including a challenge to something written on this site — goes to corrections@tablewatchpost.com. Those two inboxes are kept separate on purpose.
